Welcome
Center for Faith, Reason, and Human Performance
The St. John Paul II Center for Faith, Reason, and Human Performance is a virtual Catholic formation and performance center dedicated to helping people pursue excellence while remaining grounded in faith, truth, virtue, vocation, and the dignity of the human person.
The Center will provide evidence-informed mental performance education, coaching, formation, and resources for:
• Athletes
• Coaches and athletic staffs
• Business professionals and organizational leaders
• Catholic school and Church employees
• Priests, deacons, seminarians, and religious
• Catholic ministries and organizations
Rather than separating performance from faith, the Center will teach that how we perform, lead, compete, work, and respond to adversity can become part of our journey toward holiness.
The Center will initially operate virtually, allowing it to serve individuals, teams, dioceses, parishes, schools, seminaries, athletic programs, and organizations throughout the United States and internationally.
Faith and Reason Approach
The Center's intellectual and spiritual foundation comes from St. John Paul II's vision of the relationship between faith and reason. Dr. Morales-Negrón first encountered St. John Paul II’s encyclical Fides et Ratio (Faith and Reason) during his theological studies. Its powerful message, that faith and reason are complementary paths in the search for truth, deeply resonated with both his professional experience and his Catholic faith.
Inspired by St. John Paul II’s teachings, Dr. Morales-Negrón began to envision a way to unite more than 30 years of experience helping athletes, coaches, and leaders pursue excellence through sport psychology, mental performance, leadership, and physical development with the richness of the Catholic faith. From that vision, the St. John Paul II Center for Faith, Reason, and Human Performance was born.
The Center seeks to help Catholics pursue their God-given potential in every dimension of life: athletic, academic, professional, personal, and spiritual. Its mission is rooted in the belief that authentic human performance is not simply about achieving more, but about becoming more fully the person God created us to be. Through the integration of faith, reason, and evidence-based performance principles, Dr. Morales-Negrón hopes to equip individuals, families, and Catholic leaders with practical tools to pursue excellence while growing in faith, virtue, purpose, and service to others.
The Center applies this principle to human performance:
FAITH (Answers questions such as)
Who am I?
Why am I here?
What is my vocation?
What gives my performance meaning?
REASON (Allows us to understand)
How do people think?
How do people learn?
How does attention work?
How do emotions influence behavior?
How do habits develop?
How can performance improve?
HUMAN PERFORMANCE
Becomes the arena in which faith and reason are translated into action.
Faith + Reason → Formation → Performance → Purpose
The goal is therefore not simply:
Perform Better.
It is:
Become better so that you can perform, lead, serve, and live with greater purpose.

Priest Health and Wellness
The life of a priest is both deeply meaningful and uniquely demanding. Priests dedicate themselves to caring for others, remaining available to their communities, and accompanying people through some of life’s most important moments. Amid the consistent demands of ministry, however, it can be difficult to intentionally invest in their own growth, renewal, and well-being.
This five-session program is designed to equip priests with practical mental performance skills, tools, and strategies to support their personal and ministerial journey. Through intentional reflection, self-awareness, and purposeful planning, participants will identify strategies to enhance well-being, manage the demands of ministry, and continue growing personally, professionally, and spiritually.
The experience culminates in the development of an individualized Personal Growth and Development Plan, a sustainable roadmap designed to support each priest throughout a year of intentional growth, renewal, and continued investment in himself so that he can more fully serve Christ and His Church.

Strengthening the Domestic Church
The challenge is often not that we do not love one another, but that we struggle to communicate clearly about where we are going and how we want to get there, together.
This marriage-strengthening experience integrates the timeless teachings of the Catechism of the Catholic Church with practical communication, personality, and relationship strategies drawn from principles that have been successfully applied in performance psychology for many years.
Our goal is to help couples build a stronger foundation with Christ at the center of their marriage, deepen their understanding of one another, communicate with greater purpose, and approach life's challenges as a team. By strengthening the relationship between husband and wife, we strengthen the Domestic Church, creating a home where faith, love, unity, and mutual support can flourish.
